GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE SERVER

Terms of Service ("TOS", "Terms" or "Agreement")

This Terms of Service ("TOS", "Terms", or "Agreement") governs the use of the website, Discord server, game, and all services, features, and content offered by RavMU. By creating an account, accessing, or using any of our services, you affirm that you have read, understood, and fully agree to comply with these Terms.

The latest version of this TOS is always available on RavMU official website. Users are responsible for regularly reviewing this agreement to stay informed about any changes.

1. ADMINISTRATION & SERVER

1.1. Administrative Team:

RavMU is managed by a team of volunteers, legally capable, and not affiliated in any way with Webzen, the original developer of Mu Online. RavMU is a private, independent server with no official ties to the original game’s creators.

1.2. Responsibilities of the Administration:

The team is responsible for managing and ensuring the server's full operation, including technical issues, financial support, community management, and other areas. Intervention will occur only when necessary or possible.

1.3. Account Management:

By creating an account on RavMU, users grant the administration the right to manage the account, including modifying user data that violates the rules or suspending the account in case of rule violations. However, the administration will not use personal data (email, name, password, IP address) for any purpose outside the server.

1.4. Rights of Suspended Players:

Suspended or banned players have the right to appeal once for a penalty review. The administration will assess the case and decide whether the punishment was appropriately applied.

The player may request:

• The specific rule article that justified the punishment;
• Evidence of the violation, if applicable.

Note: Discussing punishments (yours or others') in any RavMU channels (game, Discord, social media) is prohibited and may result in additional or extended sanctions.

If a player is removed from the RavMU Discord, they may appeal via email at admin@RavMU.net.

1.5. Maintenance and Downtime:

Although the server is intended to run 24/7, RavMU staff may shut down the server for essential maintenance. These may or may not be scheduled in advance, depending on technical needs.

1.6. Account Ownership:

All accounts, characters, items, and virtual currencies on RavMU are the exclusive property of the server's administration. Players have only the right to use them within the game as per the established rules.

The administration reserves the right to manage, modify, or remove any accounts, characters, items, or currency to maintain game balance.

1.7. Penalty Scope:

Sanctions on RavMU may extend across all official server platforms if the player uses these to break rules, including but not limited to:

• Promoting competing servers;
• Harassment, insults, or disrespect toward staff or players;
• Disruptive, toxic, or inciting behavior.

Players can appeal once for a penalty review. Final decisions rest solely with the administration.

2. SECURITY

2.1. Player Responsibility:

Players are solely responsible for their login credentials. The administration is not liable for compromised usernames, passwords, or any login information. Players must only use the official site https://RavMU.com and never share their credentials.

2.2. Account Sharing:

Sharing accounts or login information is entirely at the user's own risk. The administration will not assist in any issues resulting from shared access.

2.3. Unauthorized Access:

Accessing or attempting to access accounts you did not create is strictly prohibited. Hardware IDs are logged, and unauthorized access may result in permanent device bans.

2.4. Use of Proxy or Third-Party Software:

Users who use VPNs, proxies, or IP-masking software will not receive technical or security support.

2.5. Newsletter:

By registering on RavMU, users agree to receive newsletters with updates, events, and server news.

2.6. Character and Guild Names:

Names must follow proper guidelines and cannot:

• Reference staff members;
• Contain offensive or misleading content;
• Be inappropriate or discriminatory.

The administration reserves the right to rename or delete violating names without prior notice.

2.7. Account Protection Tips:

• Change passwords every 14 days;
• Avoid public computers or unknown networks;
• Keep antivirus software updated;
• Never share login details.

2.8. Loss of Items or Currency:

The administration will not intervene in cases of lost items or currency due to player negligence. No refunds for scams, theft, or fraudulent trades.

If banned accounts hold your items, no recovery or reimbursement will be granted.

2.9. Connection Issues:

RavMU is provided "as is" with no guarantee of uninterrupted service. Players are responsible for their internet connection and should avoid risky actions (e.g., Chaos Machine combinations, trades, PvP) during unstable periods.

2.10. Rule Awareness:

By registering, users agree to all terms and rules. Ignorance of the rules will not be accepted as a valid excuse for reversing penalties.

3. RESTRICTIONS

3.1. Chat & Social Media Usage:

It is strictly forbidden to use any RavMU platform to promote:

• Hate speech, racism, pornography, harassment, threats;
• Violence or any toxic, disrespectful, or illegal behavior.

Freedom of expression does not justify disrespect or toxicity. Violators may be penalized even if no formal complaint is filed.

3. RESTRICTIONS

3.2. Promoting Other Servers

Advertising other private Mu Online servers is not allowed. Violators will be suspended or permanently banned.

3.3. Special Characters

Using unreadable or disruptive characters in chat is prohibited and punishable.

3.4. Impersonating Staff

It is forbidden to impersonate admins or use misleading names (e.g., GM-xxx, ADM-xxx). Punishment: suspension or ban.

3.5. Obstructing Partners

Interfering with RavMU content creators during their work (streams, videos) is not allowed.

3.6. Defaming Partners

Spreading slander or insults about RavMU partners on any official platform is prohibited.

3.7. Spreading False Information

Creating or spreading false rumors about the server, its staff, or partners is punishable.

3.8. Falsifying Evidence

Forging screenshots, audio, or any evidence to manipulate outcomes will result in penalties.

3.9. Hindering Gameplay

Intentionally preventing others from enjoying events or game mechanics is forbidden, except in PvP zones (e.g., Castle Siege).
Blocking NPCs or entrances and similar acts are also punishable.

3.10. Promoting Trade Groups

Promoting unofficial trade groups on RavMU platforms is prohibited.

3.11. Charging Fees or VIP Access

No player may charge others for in-game content access, including areas, events, or guilds—whether in real money or game currency.

3.12. Provoking & Retaliation

Harassment, baiting, or provoking other players to react inappropriately is forbidden. Both instigator and responder may be punished.

3.13. Toxic Behavior

Any form of toxicity that disrupts gameplay, harasses staff or players, or undermines the community is strictly forbidden.

• False reports
• Spreading misinformation
• Exploiting bugs
• Abusing support systems

Violations may result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.

3.14. Fake Accounts in Giveaways

Using fake, smurf, or multiple accounts to manipulate giveaway outcomes or event results on official streams is strictly prohibited.
Punishments will vary by severity but may include permanent bans.

4. VIRTUAL PROPERTY

4.1. Account and Item Trading:

Any attempt to transfer, trade, or negotiate accounts, items, or currency from RavMU to another game, server, or platform not owned by RavMU—regardless of the currency involved—is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Trading items/currency between different RavMU servers (if multiple servers exist);
• Exchanging in-game assets for physical or digital goods outside of RavMU;
• Any transaction involving external benefits not tied to the official game environment.

Penalties for violating this rule may include temporary or permanent suspension of the involved accounts, depending on the severity and the player's history.

4.2. Ownership of Accounts and Items:

Players are granted a revocable, non-exclusive license to use virtual goods within the game under the established rules. The RavMU administration reserves the right to modify, remove, restore, or adjust any items, currencies, characters, or accounts at any time without prior notice or obligation to compensate.

The administration may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to any account that violates the rules, without refund or restitution. Users acknowledge they do not hold ownership over virtual goods, which are part of the game environment managed by RavMU.

4.3. Trading of RavMU Items, Currency, or Properties:

The purchase, sale, or exchange of game items, currency, characters, or accounts for real money—inside or outside the official RavMU platforms—is strictly forbidden. This includes:

• Advertising or offering any in-game item in exchange for real money or external benefits;
• Participating in unofficial groups or communities that promote such practices;
• Acting as a middleman or accomplice in these transactions.

RavMU may log user information and periodically audit logs to detect suspicious activity. Violating these guidelines may result in severe penalties.

5. DONATIONS AND REFUNDS

5.1. Non-Refundable Donations:

All donations are voluntary and non-refundable. RavMU does not sell credits. Rewards given are tokens of appreciation and may be altered or revoked at any time.

5.2. Equal Treatment:

Donors and non-donors share equal rights and responsibilities. Donations do not grant special privileges or exemptions from rules.

5.3. Donor Account Bans:

If a donor is banned, no items or currency will be restored or transferred, regardless of donation history.

5.4. Refund Policy:

Refunds will only be issued if promised rewards were not delivered. Fraudulent donations or chargebacks may result in permanent bans.

6. TECHNICAL ISSUES

6.1. Use of Hacks and Cheats:

The use of unauthorized tools to gain unfair advantages is strictly forbidden. Violations will result in bans.

6.2. Bug Exploitation:

Exploiting bugs for personal gain is prohibited. All bugs must be reported immediately.

6.3. Fake Guilds:

Creating fake guilds to occupy event slots is forbidden. Offenders may be suspended for 31 days.

6.4. Alliance Limit:

A maximum of three guilds may form an official alliance. Attempts to bypass this limit will lead to disqualification.

6.5. Guild Collusion:

Collusion between guilds to manipulate events is strictly prohibited and will result in multi-week bans from participation.

7. UNFORESEEN CASES AND RULE UPDATES

7.1. Unspecified Situations:

Uncovered situations will be handled at the discretion of RavMU staff. Players should use common sense and seek guidance when needed.

7.2. Official Information Sources:

Official sources include the RavMU website and Discord. Players are responsible for staying informed via these platforms.

7.3. Reporting Deadline:

Violations must be reported within 6 months. Reports submitted after this period will not be accepted.

8. LEGAL CLAUSES

8.1. Ownership of Virtual Content and Liability Waiver:

All game assets remain the exclusive property of RavMU. Players have no claim to compensation for losses due to bans or suspensions.

8.2. Legal Jurisdiction:

Legal matters involving RavMU fall under the jurisdiction of Parnamirim – RN. Users waive the right to other jurisdictions.

9. TOS UPDATES

9.1. Rule Changes:

RavMU may modify its Terms of Service at any time. It is each player’s responsibility to regularly review and comply with updates.
